Greetings in Jesus precious Name! We have a lot of good news to report!
Two boys from the children home, Pandian and Mark have written and passed their 10th Grade exams. We were very happy to receive the results today. Pandian wants to study 11th Grade and will be joining this week. Mark has moved to his house and he will do the Air Conditioning Course from his house.
Milk and Gospel-
In the month of May it is summer time here in India. This picture shows us giving free butter milk and sharing the gospel to people walking. For two weeks more than 60 people free drink, heard the Gospel and received Gospel tracks everyday.
New Children-
Twelve more children, including one girl, have joined Light house Childrens Home. The girls name is Jothiga and she is 11 years old. Her mother died few years ago. I will send you the childrens details and pictures soon. This week three more girls are joining. The boys who have been with us for a longer time are doing well. Mano Chander joined the Carpentry course.
Back to School-
The children have begun their new classes. They are all enjoying their schooling but we have big needs. The boys schooling expenses are quiet big this year. We need to get new uniforms, pay school fees, purchase books, school bags and so on. Please keep them in your prayers and inform your friends to pray about it. I am praying for a van for the boys to go to school. The rainy season has started and it is really hard for small children to walk 5 K M everyday, especially when it rains. The older children leave home at 7:30 am to reach school in time for prayer at 9:00am.The young children also walk to school. They leave at 8:30. All children have to carry heavy school bags for 5 kilometers everyday.
More Exciting News
Clean water-
We dug a new bore well as the old well water is not drinkable. To do this we need to install a motor, water tank and plumbing. Praise God we have good water!
Spoken English Coaching-
1000 flyers have been handed throughout the village for the classes which are beginning today. Spoken English is necessary for anyone to pass the first job interview. Unfortunately, not many people have this skill. Classes will be held at the Childrens Home. English
Church Service-
English service was started two weeks ago in my Fathers Church. I took the responsibility of running it. We had brought few music instruments for that. More than 60 people are joining every week. Anniversary- June 6th was the 1st year anniversary for the new premises for Lighthouse Children Home. We conducted a nice Thanks Giving meeting there and everyone had nice dinner.
Hospital-
We have completed the plans for the hospital and now are waiting for the doctor to approve them. We are praying for the finances for this also.
Prayer Points
1. For provision of finances for a van to take the children to and from school and to purchase the equipment and materials which the children need for new classes.
2. Hospital plans to be perfected, approved and for finance.
3. For Spoken English coaching to be an effective educational and evangelical tool.
4. For well being and blessing for staff at Children Home.
